The tale of the 2 Ashleys...

They are paid sky high salaries.

They jet set like Kings.

They drive cars you can't imagine buying.

They have homes all over the world.

They travel to play in style.

Their WAGS follow them when they travel.

They decree themselves Gods.

Their media hail them as Titans.

Their league is the most expensive on this planet.

But at EURO 2012 against Italy - England couldn't even score to win.

A time - to ponder or pander ?

Lately, I haven't written anything constructive. All I do is scribble and not bother if anyone reads or comments on my scribbles. This indolent-laziness in me I attribute to being mind-dry, travel-fagged, work-stress and "no-one-reads-my-blog-anyway" reasonings.

Clint Eastwood in one of his movies said, there could a million reasons why I should not pull the trigger but right now punk, I can't think of one."

Well! the same here constructively. The same pill had come to haunt me.

But sometimes I do try. In Malaysia, if you notice, our fellow Malaysians and politicians have a load full of things to puke and write owing to the dysfunctional system we have amongst our "learned" politicians and of course our half-cooked Government.

In fact, if you plan taking up journalism, Malaysia is the bed-rock to hone your skills. No joke!. Ideas and topics are abound. Just by going about writing on the misgivings we stumble upon, you can even go for that early double degree in journalism. All you need is to write all about our political hungry clowns. What ever you do, you'll either win the Pulitzer and/or rot in Sungei Buloh Jail - the dreaded Sing-Sing of Malaysia or get that dreaded degree.

With all their monkey-antics, mudblood nonsense and the barrage of "shot-in-the-foot" speeches made over the media and airwaves, we really aren't short of Mr. Bean vs Scenario nonsense.

Que:  The Malaysian parliament when in session gives us ample ideas and reasons to becoming a good or better writer or journalist. You need to get a passage into this august house and it will dawn upon you, you had playfully with a thumb in your mouth had walked into a zoo while the feeding frenzy of monkeys and macaws are in place.

Parliament is where without doubt we argue on our differences, our legislature, law and everything healthy to spur the nation and its people to betterment; to find amicable solutions and to give rise to a nation fuddled with debts and poverty. But hell NO - we have a Parliament full of tail wiggling monkeys arguing and fighting over who ate Belacan or which lady is going through her monthly recess. (remmy that one?)

I too jumped into the bandwagon to hone my skills  - can't you see? Once in a while I take a swipe at our elected numbnut politicians. I'm too am honing my skills here.

Some have extended their tirades into debates and licentiously show-off their long forgotten cave-dwelling inheritances to the public. They make statements and when checked, you may find you have actually in a long time coming stumbled upon a prehistoric fossil. And of course never forgetting their "super" language and oratory skills. Our 'depository' of men and women sermoning out their tirades are never short of again - Mr Bean meets Rajikanth meets Lau Poo Tze.

Our immense data of grown-ups' conundrum keeps growing. Now, this is what we Malaysians call Malaysia Boleh!

A new spin off to speeches was the one about ex-army men who wiggled their butts and inadvertently franchised off a new "senaman buntut" to the public. Way to go soldiers - if in dire need the nation calls for reinforcements, we call upon the butt-aerobic soldiers to wiggle their butts and we may even win the war. We have an exemplary example of army men to the front to save guard the King and its subjects. This is what the Malaysian Government is today. Ruling 50 over years, and this is what we can expect even if Singapore is to wage war over our waters.

If you're a foreigner, welcome. You have no idea what we have in store come our 13th General Elections in Malaysia. Stay tuned.

Psstt ++  On a stricter note, do take time to ponder over all the musings we bloggers are writing and ask why?

This isn't about dissatisfaction or clowning around. This is all about saving the nation and to bring about a betterment to the quality of life we now have. Is this too much to ask?

We urgently need to rewrite history and change all misgivings and the government, not for me but for the future of those who shall carry our names and our forefather's into the future.

Tour joke...!!

I came across this advert in the papers yesterday and I couldn't help but notice the tour prices advertised and price comparisons amongst some other famous tour destinations within Asia.

What got me quizzed is the tour price to Bali, a favourite destination amongst world travellers in Indonesia and Pulau Redang (Malaysia), a much quieter place in the South China Sea.

Bali is like four flight hours from Kuala Lumpur while Redang is 60 minutes away. But, the trip to Bali is only RM1,188.00 while to Redang is RM1,798.00.

** USD1 = RM3.00

How is it a tour to Redang is more expensive then to Bali?  Opps...Bangkok is only RM988 and Siem Reap - RM1,388.00.

Inland tour operators in Malaysia should take the initiative to promote inland tours and make it more affordable than anything else but here it looks like after looking at the prices, it's a lot cheaper to fly to a foreign destination then to tour your own country.

H.I.S Travel (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd - could you care to explain?

Facebook against Blog...

Facebook is now the in thing tho' I resent this statement strongly. I'm no Facebook person but have to admit FB has taken net users like Tsunami. On the other hand, Blogging has become lame and somewhat saddled.

You can never blame this scenario as playing and pasting with pictures or graphics is by far...I say AGAIN by far more interesting than blog writing.

Why is this so? Why do people write less? Why do they rather have pictures and graphics pasted in FB like wanted criminals. :-)

The answer is simple :- To write you must have passion, a greed to pen or a will to be heard via nouns, adverbs and adjectives. Facebook...you don't need a brain to come up with all of that. Post a picture and puke out a comment. Simple and sweet. Yes..it is darn easy and the next thing you know you are connected with the Mee Rebus fellow, the WanTan Mee Apek or the Aunty selling Thosai at the pasar malam all gleeing back at you in pictures.

But to blog...is an absolute. The pitfalls are deeper than the Grand Canyon. The chances of a blogger falling into a trap with the law easily outweighs its ideologies. Bloggers get into all sorts of trouble just because they have a brain that speaks words mightier than the pen. Facebookers need not need all of that. A picture paints a thousand words. Some paint more than words. It doesn't matter how you look at it...a picture on any given day STILL outdoes a blog by far. And even on your worst days FB is still mightier than a blog even you have put a pic of a fatuous hog or watch paint dry.

I do hope blog writing does not grind to a halt. I hope more people would look up and see the light of bloggers churning out ideas and wisdom. Pls do take a second to read and appreciate them for their arduous indites.

And as for FB...the oncoming days are sweeter and rosy. Keep the face shitless

Antisocial...

Antisocial - that's the exact remark I got branded after meeting-up with an ex-colleague of mine some time ago. The last time we met and spoke was like four and a half years ago (heheh). It was while we were colleagues back in 2004. This sounds strange to me becasue we live like half an hour's drive from our homes. I can see her reading this with anger vibes...if at all she reads this.

I do not blame her for rebranding me for my lame disappearing act for it was I who chose to remain anonymous for a long time.

She is one ex-colleague of mine who has a good side to her nature. She makes it a point to meet all her friends no matter where they are or wat-so-ever they had become of. The good nature in her augurs too well at times. But I can't say the same of myself as at times I remain "anti-social." And here I'm thinking absence makes the heart grow fonder...Yukssss....

In reality I'm not anti-social. I do admit some may perceive me as that. After leaving the "banking" environment, as in most-often-than-not cases, the get-together social scene culminated into a natural death thing.

But the sadder part to this reality is that, she believes I was antisocial only to her which I wholesomely rebuke. In reality, many of my so-called ex-colleagues and past friends, even my child hood friends have moved on to enrich their personal lives. They too have taken this anitsocial panacea like vitamins. More-so I just don't fancy the idea of trodding into their space or privacy after a bloody long hiatus. Could this meet-up-void add up to the anti-social conundrum?

When I 'balik-kampung', I realise those close to me then as friends and those who can even judge me coming a mile away have begun to play the Houdini Act. Some pretend they never knew me tho' we were classmates. Some look at me like I'm from a different era of time or space. Maybe I'm. One even sat at the table beside me (opposite) in a restaurant but made sure he looked every nook and corner of the eatery except at me. Strange.

I do admit I'm not the person who will get up and greet someone. A lame trait in me. Greetings had never augured well for me. I'm what people might say selfish, or pretentious. I don't know. If you know me, you go figure that out.

Coming back to reality, is anti-social a disease of humans? Is it curable? Or even so is it malignant? I really don't know. But what I do know for sure is...there are more antisocial people around me than all the positive vibes I have over them.

I rest my argument.

Thank you for reading.

Conspiracy Theory?

I read Americans were arrested for taking quake hit Haitian children out of Haiti. These Americans belong to some church group who're helping out children put in better homes in America or in other countries. The bulletin said, these children were actually given away by their parents to these church messengers saying they only wanted better lives for their children. The Haitian Government is irked over this "abduction" and are blaming Americans for violating child protection or something. To me it links to a conspiracy theory.

I want you to ponder over this for a moment and ask. Do you think, Americans taking children out of Haiti is the right thing; the Haitian parents giving away their children are noble?

Haiti was hit by an earthquake beyond repair for calamity reparation. You need to consider the devastation of a nation which has been on the poverty backlash list for a long time. Being impoverished; does it link to another conspiracy theory?

There are far too many questions and exclamation marks to this global problem especially the one faced by Haiti. On the other side and looking at it objectively, how much can the Haitian Government do to help its own people?

To address this problem, one need to zoom in and micro-analyse a quake hit scenario. The aftermath of an earthquake is akin to a country mini-nuked. When vast improved nations, and nations who build world economies are hit by quakes, they too suffer to rebuild. How will a 3rd world country like Haiti get out of an almost 8.0 Richter scale earthquake? The catastrophy is beyond rebuilding or even re engineering. Another conspiracy theory?

Now imagine this - It'll take a gargantuan task for Haiti to regain normalcy let alone to rebuild homes, hospitals, schools, public amenities, to restore power and water sanitation which is no overnight task. Living in poverty and shuddered, what kind of help will Haiti need if money can only buy them that much solace to silence the pain and the lost. Conspiracy theory?

This is out of this world. What I mean is...can an earthquake be man-made or be created from some fusion? Well, I read the Chinese and the Russians are blaming Americans for the Haitian earthquake. They are blaming it on a hidden conspiracy theory of America where the Haitian earthquake was created from some Atolls in Fiji.

This is not only conspiracy but sheer gross bamboozled.

Like Mahathir said condemning, "If they can make Avatar, they can make 911."

Insane? Bamboozled? A Simpson's cartoon?

Child Policy ...

A baby boy was found abandoned and dead by a stream in the UK..and what did the Brits do? ( see pic below)

In China, under the 1 child Policy, woman(below) is chemically induced and forced to abort her baby.

But in Malaysia, throwing away babies is a pastime ... we sure beat the Brits and the Chinese.

The irony of being in DAP - Penang.

This is Penang. Anyone can vent his anger at the CM without any fear of arrest or reprimandation. Is this allowable? Can this be done in say Malacca. Malacca too has a CM. Will the Police allow such actions?

The wrath of the ruiling government's displeasure and being sore losers.

Intimidation against the CM of Penang. Did the police do any arrest?

Question : Can this be done in BN controlled states?
