5 years ago ...
His breath was telling, his moods temperamental;
In the morn, he gathers like a storm,
night, calms as the tamed wind;
night, calms as the tamed wind;
Gone is the fondness, diminished are his tenderness.

FIFA 2014 World Cup mayhem starts ...
![]() |
the man, the legend |
Yes...it's time for the Bloody World Cup. Time for mayhem fiesta, bask in the Brazilian sun, surf the sea and and kick some sand. Pay thousands of dollars, watch the games, drink and dance, do the samba and blow horns to one's merriment, create mess and do everything FIFA.
World Cup 2014 you say. I say it's a waste of money and a disgrace!
The World Cup is where football millionaires come together, play the game (win/lose - don't care), bask in the limelight to the world's sporting press, drink and eat the best food offered to them, enjoy the attention, tweet and do loads of selfies and finally win the cup and go home. FIFA does its part and rakes in billions, so does the Government of Brazil.
But, where do you put the people of Brazil. The poor?
To the slum dwelling Brazilians, suffer is what they can offer to the World Cup taking place right at their doorsteps. Not a penny spent to enrich their lives but millions are spent to invite and showcase the world the greatest sporting event on the planet.
Brazil is a nation where schools are closed for days on end, teachers unpaid, hospitals in deplorable conditions, children left to rot, incubus hygiene, drugs, murders, prostitutes, the homeless, transport nightmare and the alarming divide between the poor and the rich. And don't forget come 2016 Brazil hosts the Olympics. Goodness! Where's the money coming from?
The Brazilian Government chooses to spend millions for the World Cup but not a penny more to help the destitute poor. Is this what the World Cup stands for?
To the players and journalist and all involved in the World Cup - you should boycott and leave. I can't believe even Pele, whose son was recently incarcerated for 33 years for money-laundering is excited over the World Cup. A man, a player who hailed from the streets of Brazil should feel ashamed for his participation in this nonsensical sporting extravaganza mayhem.
And now we've 2022 Qatar scandal. Welcome to FIFA's World Cup.
To bring a better world together both in sports and spirit in football,
this MAN should be expunged from FIFA

Karpal Singh, RIP....
For a good man, for the cause,
For the sanctity of law and justice,
For when it touched the people.
For the tiger, his stripe unscathed,
For his gallant demeanor,
For the hour, his stand...his voice,
For the common man, in the brevity of time;
lost,
In the echelons of memory;
Forever.
KARPAL SINGH, R.I.P

What if ...
Yes, what if whatever the girl is wearing over her head
as a wig becomes a fashion.
It's a skull wig with bottlecaps, clippers, nails and ...
I can't really say what other knickknacks are hidden inside.
