From another blogger ..interesting read

I do stumble and read blogs from other writers. I've gone thru' scores of  them...many interesting ones, some mundane, many write crappy ones like me hahaha. But, there are a few that catches my eyes and the one below not only caught my attention but walked straight into my face.

Its about religion and depicted in a carton way. Nice but real from a American Caucasian.

Be warned : If you're not into religion, you'll be only wasting your time reading this

"Cue the sitar and a supersexy four-armed blue god strides on to the scene. WHAT…is that? And then the sky fills with somersaulting gods and goddesses in all flavors: ridiculous, wonderful, elephant-headed Ganesha, Hanuman the Monkey God, the triumvirate of Brahma the Creator, Vishnu the Preserver and Shiva the Destroyer, with their respective girlfriends (!) Sarasvati (special power: music, knowledge and the arts – she plays the veena) (Me neither. Like a guitar?), Lakshmi (wealth, grace and beauty: who can turn the world on with her smile?) and Kali (who will fuck your shit up and add you to her necklace of skulls). There’s Durga, riding down the sky on her tiger or lion, whatever she’s in the mood for that day, swinging her ax and taking out demons. There’s Krishna, The Cosmic Player, with his long lashes and his blue skin, and his patient main squeeze, Radha, and they’re hot with love for each other. These gods and goddesses are like a divine Superfriends - and they sound like cartoons - but when you dive in to each of their lore, you see they stand for particular principles of reality, laws of physics, natural phenomena, and there’s plenty of sophistication in the layout. Hinduism is full of epic stories, battles and sex and revenge and undying love. It’s unreasonable and fiery and vast, and it sizzles with nuclear magic. The cosmos is like a giant silver screen, and the Hindu pantheon strides across it like so many movie stars. It’s the oldest religion in the world, with thousands of years of heft to it. Plus: gurus*! If you can wade through the sea of false ones and get lucky enough to find your very own real one with your name on him or her, zing! You have booked a ticket to enlightenment. May take a while, but it’s booked. Your guru is contractually obligated to make that happen."

The writer found Hinduism when elephant-headed Ganesha walked into her day-light dreams.

Sins of mine unpardonable...

Sin No.1

I opened my creaking kitchen door gently and heard a strong flutter of wings of a pigeon. It flew dashed out of the kitchen via the steel railings when it saw me coming. The fear of capture I suppose.

Then, I heard chirping on the kitchen cabinet. I dragged a stool, stood on it, cranked my head over and saw two featherless little baby pigeons nestled neatly.

I slowly, gently and carefully brought down the two wrinkled baby pigeons and put them on a sheet of paper and left them by the back door of the kitchen. Two hours later there were dead.

This happened 3 weeks ago.

Sin No.2

A mother cat had six kittens given birth in a huge basket left for old papers. Upon seeing me, in a flash the grey-stripped cat jumped out of the basket and disappeared into the neighbour's garden.

I again, slowly and gently collected all the six new arrivals, put them again on an old newspaper and left them in the garden under the blazing sun hoping the mother cat will come and take all her six to another safer hiding.

Ten minutes later, rain came. It poured like hell. It always does in Penang. Later that evening two kittens drowned. The other four had gone missing. I never saw the mother cat and her kittens after that.

This happened 2 days ago.

I have sinned.

Here now am awaiting what punishment awaits me for killing two helpless pigeons and two kittens.

Peaceful Assembly Bill?? laffin thru' donkey's arse...

It's a Peaceful Assembly Bill and be warned!!
The Peaceful Assembly Bill ( much awaited, so it seems)  was tabled in Parliament recently.
The bill, allows the police to determine the terms in order to maintain public order, stresses  children cannot be recruited or allowed to attend rallies or any public “illegal” gatherings..
Those who flout these rules will be slapped with a fine not exceeding RM20,000.
It also seems under the Restrictions and Conditions clause, the bill proposes district police chiefs or OCPDs be empowered to impose restrictions and conditions with regard to an assembly.
To preserve security and public order, the Police (OCPD) may determine the date, time, duration and manner of assembly.
The OCPD may also place restrictions based on the concerns and objections of parties with vested interests and on any other matters the police deem fit and necessary.
Among the salient points of the Peaceful Assembly Bill are:
  • No streets protests are allowed
  • Non-citizens cannot protest
  • Organizers must give a 30-day notice before the gathering to the OCPD
  • Those below 21 cannot organize an assembly
  • An assembly cannot be held in a prohibited place or within 50m of the prohibited place
  • Some of the prohibited places are places of worship, petrol stations, train tracks, kindergartens and schools, airports, water treatment plants, ports, docks, canals and marinas
  • Organizers unhappy with the restrictions and conditions (Section 15) may appeal to the Home Ministry who would have to reply within six days
  • The police may arrest without warrant organizers or participants who do not comply with the restrictions and conditions imposed, those who bring along children, or carry arms to the assembly
  • The Home Minister, by publishing in a government Gazette, may amend any of the said sections in the Bill, including adding prohibited places
  • The Home Minister is also allowed to make regulations for the better execution of the Bill
Those who fail to adhere to the regulations can be imposed with a fine not exceeding RM10,000.
The Peaceful Assembly Bill is among the slew of reforms announced by Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak on the eve of Malaysia Day a bid to create a freer society.

This is Malaysia for you. The government is old, they lie, spew rubbish and have no idea what Malaysians want.

They claim to run an efficient transparent government.

I say they're rubbish.

Now, they come up with a peaceful bill to curb peaceful gatherings.
I guess you must be as tired as I am reading such nonsense. Am gonna sit back and read what other bloggers have got to say about this bill. And am sure scores of them are gonna take a swipe at this so called “humane” bill.

Gold Gold..mother of all Gold.

GALLANT MALAYSIA ...BE PROUD

To win a Gold medal is one thing, but to win the mother of
all Gold medals, is a whole different ball game.

And that's exactly what Team Malaysia did in Jakarta.

They won, not only with pride and respect but made the
Indonesians lick their wounds too.

CONGRATULATIONS.

Stand tall and be proud.

SEA Games - The lowness of MAAU's daftness...

This is not about Indonesia. What and how they behave should not be our concern. This is about us Malaysians.

The Malaysian 4 x 400 men relay squad or easily termed the 1600 meters relay team won the gold at the Palembang SEA games, Indonesia - Track and Field event. This win is unprecedented and its been a while since a Malaysian men quartet last won the gold at SEA games for this event.

During the prize awarding ceremony, the four Malaysians were not at the rostrum to receive their medals so I read.

REASON 1 : they were already on their way home without collecting their gold medals. (NOT ACCEPTABLE)

REASON 2 :  MAAU (Malaysian Amateur Athletic Union)  or whoever in-charge had booked the boys to fly home immediately after their event. (GROSSLY NOT ACCEPTABLE)

REASON 3 : I can only guess MAAU don't wana incur more charges for the air-fare deferment.

Now, there is a need to ponder the very quality of success here and come to grasp what winning is all about. What kind of a nation would make it's prize winning athletes go home just because they were booked to fly home much earlier?

I mean how much will it cost the Malaysian contingent to differ the flights of the four athletes so that they could proudly stand on the rostrum and collect their prized medals.

Do you know what it takes to shoulder the nation's hopes on your shoulders and carry that burden through the partisan hostile stadium crowd when all they do is scream and jeer on you while you're on a mission to do honour, duty and glory for your country you love via sports?

Only few can go through that and these four young men did exactly that to win and that too in full honour and pride. For their gallant sportsmanship deeds, what did the country do to them;  they were send back home packing by MAAU to save a few hundreds of ringgit on air-fare.

I begin to wonder, which is more in value - the honour and pride of carrying the nation in victory or money. Malu la.

How can athletes be sent home without collecting their awards? By what sport's gesture is this anyway? As an ex-athlete, I've never nor heard of such. And never on an international arena.

The funny irony of this is that - the four boys were not meant to appear at the games what more win. How more sick can the Malaysian contingent be by denying them the pinnacle of glory when the ultimate and poignant point of glory is when your name is flashed on the gigantic score board, whilst the nation's anthem is played and seeing the jalur gemilang raised in honour.

Believe me, its not the win but the way the win is made to be seen is what glorifies an athlete. That very indecisive moment was lost for the four quarter milers. Just for a few hundreds of ringgit in expenses, the gold medal winning run had become irrelevant to MAAU.

What sort of a Chef-De-Mission did they get to 'chaperon' the Malaysian contingent?

Shame on you Malaysia. Sheer shame.

You don't deserve the gold medal standings for this event and neither should you talk about the glory of the four athletes to make yourself proud.

As for the four boys who ran the event, and I strongly believe, they must have given their hearts and sweat to win - they rightly won the medals for themselves and NOT for the nation.

Have you ever heard the saying - for the love and glory of the country?

Malu malu malu on youla -  Malaysian Amateur Athletic Union.

Memang malu la. Ceh! I pun rasa malu and disgusted.

MAAU remember, these boys aren't professionals. They are merely amateurs. The last thing they need is to be treated like dirt by the very country they give their hearts for.

This ain't no way to treat your athletes. Really ain't no way.

Bersih 3.0 ...

Taken from sources within ...

Jagan sekali-kali 'under-estimate' kekuatan rakyat. Kami sudah bukti hebat dan kuat rakyat di BERSIH 2.0 dan tiada masalah untuk buktikan semula dalam BERSIH 3.0.

The Malaysian cliches'

You can easily recognize a Malaysian from his speech, life styles, or even from the way they behave. Then, there are other 'traits' of Malaysians you simply can't ignore noticing or knowing.

Things like the below :-
  • almost every other English word spoken ends with a 'lah.'
  • coffee mixed with tea, milk and sugar called Chum is considered a drink amongst Malaysians.
  • orders roti canai square and not round.
  • pays a ringgit to watch footie on TV with a 'teh-tarik'
  • where nasi-lemak is a must breakfast.
  • very much kiasu and always compare Malaysia with Singapore.
  • Malaysians, some of the fattest, rudest and uncouth bunch of people in ASEAN
  • rice is eaten 3 to 4 times a day.
  • Teh-tarik is a must even in the wee hours of the morning.
The list goes on.

The very reason why I came up with this is - today's daily headline reads : Malaysians stand the highest in count for obesity.

I AGREE.

Hirthik 'Oddity' Roshan ...

Someone did tell me of the little oddity of Hirthik Roshan. Not that I did not believe in what I heard, but I really couldn't give a bloody damn for actors especially Bollywood 'dumb' and dumbasss' actor swines.

I am not in the mood to go ballistic on Indians right now which I always take great pleasure in denigrading these worthless cave-dwelling Indian apes Neanderthals.

This thing here I want to say is this - [ see pics to get to the reason ]

Menteri Lembu Malaysia!

Kasi duit suruh dia jaga lembu, dia pe beli Condo....kakakakaka.

Old Mrs. Sharizat had a farm...e i e i o,
And on the farm she had some condo,
e i e i o,
A mooo mooo here, a mooo mooo there,
Here a mooo, there a mooo, everywhere a mooo mooo,
Old Mrs. Sharizat had a Condo,
eeeeee iiiiii eeee iiiiiii oooooooooo....

Helloo..Menteri Lembu! banyak pandai u. Orang suruh jaga lembu, u beli condo ye!...Condo mewah pulak tu.

psstt....nak tanye, berapa harga condo..nak tau boleh?

Here is the news:

The National Feedlot Centre (NFC) paid RM10 million for a condominium belonging to National Meat and Livestocks Corporation (NMLC), a company wholly-owned by Datuk Seri Shahrizat Jalil’s family, PKR said today.

Its secretary-general, Saifuddin Nasution, said the luxury apartment at One Menerung, Bangsar, was recorded by NFC, a cattle farming project managed by the minister’s family, as part of a RM83 million “loan” to NMLC.
“They said the RM250 million loan for the project was in a tightly-controlled account. Is the condominium for cows to live in?” the Machang MP told a press conference in the Parliament lobby.
PKR also alleged on Tuesday that over RM84 million was siphoned off from NFC to companies controlled by Shahrizat’s husband, Datuk Dr Mohamad Salleh Ismail, and her children, Izran Mohamad Salleh and Izmir Mohamad Salleh.
Saifuddin said today that the RM9,758,140 was transferred from NFC’s CIMB account in Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Kuala Lumpur to Bandar Raya Developments Berhad on December 2, 2009 as full payment for the property.

“If strict monitoring had occurred, surely RM9.8 million cannot be transferred to buy a luxury condo that has nothing to do with cattle farming. This is a clear breach of trust by Shahrizat’s family,” he said.
PKR strategic director Rafizi Ramli also asked how NFC had slaughtered 1,600 cows in 2009 and still made a loss of RM11 million that year “but can afford a luxury condo.”
The Auditor-General’s Report released last month had criticised the NFC, pointing out that it was now “in a mess”.
Women, Family and Community Development Minister Shahrizat said yesterday that “the minister has answered at length and clearly. I am happy that the ministry will continue to monitor the success of this project.”

Yes..why Ambiga and not Marina?

Yes..it is a very simple question : Why question Ambiga and not Marina??

Marina did spearhead the so-called Gay/Lesbian festival before this year. Why is the PDRM only questioning Ambiga?

Why Marina never gets questioned tho' she had vehemently said she shares the same opinion as of Ambiga?

It seems anything Ambiga does is against the law and not Marina.

Don't you smell rat?

Whisky education ...

Just when it was all about the mayhem teaching Math and Science in Malay, and the mindless folly of the Education minister of Malaysia,  we have in Johor teachers receiving whisky hampers for Deepavali.

The hampers were placed in respective Tamil schools (classrooms) by the Batu Pahat MP Mohd Puad Zarkashi, who is also the deputy Education Minister.

“Most of us were surprised and felt uncomfortable. Firstly, the hamper contained a liquor bottle and secondly, we as civil servants should not receive such gifts"

The PM did say once, "we must do anything and everything to win."

What a cat, absolutely amazing ...

To understand this little feat by a cat, one needs to visualize the size of Australia. And to do that, via comparision how big a mass Australia is, imagine this - the whole of Europe can fit into Australia and there would still be space left.

Now imagine this. Jessie, the cat below (in picture), walked an astounding 2,000 miles to get to her owners after they had moved. The owners couldn't take Jessie with them as it seems Jessie hates getting into cars and it had gone missing a day earlier from their home.

More amazing - Jessie took one year to travel that far to get to its owners.
AMAZING INSTINCTS

Wither English as a Language ...

Make sure you remember this man - the bringer of mayhem and chaos in the name of English as a language taught in schools in Malaysia.

What sorta education can a kid / student look for when decisions are made without proper consultation. One moment it is all about teaching in Malay, then the very next day the whole idea is reversed to be in English.

How not to laugh thru' one's arse and if you're a non-Malaysian, the man in picture above is the Minister of Education in Malaysia.

Please laugh to douse the pain children in Malaysia need to put up to and endure the daftness of people who sit in power and wield brainless commands.

Don't ask what qualities he has cause honestly I don't k now and don't care.

They say action speak louder than words  but his one has got none of both.

Ohhh dear, wither the language English.

Kalau nak jadi bodoh pun, jangan la cam kaldai. Kadang-kadang kaldai pun bijak tau cume dia segan sje.

Seksualiti Merdeka ..BANNED.

The Malaysian Police today banned all functions / activities organised by any group relating to the 'Seksualiti Merdeka' programme at the Annexe, Central Market, Kuala Lumpur. They cited, it was against the beliefs of any religion in Malaysia to condone such a programme and said it was in the best interest this gay/lesbian, heterosexual, same gender marriages get-to-gather party be banned.
In case if you need to know, Merdeka Seksualiti 2011, is a five-day programme which started two days ago at the Annexe Gallery, Central Market. It calls for equal rights for the homosexual and transsexual groups such as the gay, lesbian, bisexual, inter sexual and transgender groups.
The former BAR Council of Malaysia President Datuk S.Ambiga, who is to officiate the opening of the party will be called in for questioning and to have her statements recorded.

The Police say laws in the country does not recognise any deviationist activity that could destroy the practice of religious freedom, mainly Islam.

The Police also claim they have received many protests from non governmental organisations including Islamic and non-Islamic organisations on the matter and feel such an activity that promotes same-sex activities and vice be banned.

The Police also in their jurisdiction urged members of the public not to participate in this programme as they claim it could incite or disturb public order or promote unhealthy copulation.

"Police are not against any human rights to express their opinion. But when this (programme) crops up and threatens national security, we have to take action," say the Police.
How is a gay/lesbian party can link to National Security I wonder?

Decision on PPSMI is final ... truly truly sad.

The teaching of Math and Science in English is no more. This to me indeed is a very sadden knowing akin to the demise of purpose.

My school going days are long gone forgotten but the language instructed into me is still fresh and blossoms within till now.

I was able to travel the world with this one tool learned and took with me all the pride in knowing all others crossing my path with a common instructional language. Now, that very little  "nomenclature" is dead as far the Malaysian Education system is concerned.

I no more fear of being left out of the spoken communication 'way-of-life' but thinking of the younger ones not being able to learn the basics of Math and Science in English grips me hard in sorrow.

Learning Science and Maths in Malay is a total rotten endeavour.

Sadden alas, but the journey to rebuild rages on.

A total change is needed urgently for the younger generation to go embrace a brave new world else all will be lost in time, in a labyrinth.

OWC - sex book ban.

The Malaysian Home Ministry has banned the Obedient Wives Club's (OWC) controversial sex guide book with immediate effect. Good or bad, I really can't say.

Those found in possession of this book (above) could be fined up to RM5,000 (S$2,000).

Note : It says could and not would.

Those found reproducing the book for the purpose of offering it for sale could (again could and not would ) be jailed up to three years or fined not exceeding RM20,000, or both.

The Home Ministry's Al-Quran Text and Publishing Control Division secretary Abdul Aziz Md Nor said the book was not available to the public.

"We have actually been looking for it, including in Kelantan where the book was said to have first surfaced, but to no avail.

"We finally got one courtesy of the Islamic Development Department and after studying it, we found two reasons to ban it," he said.

The first reason : The book was released by an organisation that had clear links with the banned Al-ARQAM. It seems, as the movement is banned, anything related to it, such as the club and the book are also banned.

He said the contents of the book also violated Jakim's Islamic publication material censorship guideline.

Playboy magazines are banned here in Malaysia. If as such, is Hugh Hefner, the founder and owner of Playboy banned too?

Only in Malaysia 1 + 1 will equal to 11.

What a gaffe!

I don't know which is the joke here; the banning of the book, the people behind in coming up with such a book or even the whole imbecility idea of sex?

Or, I mean if at all the ban could be is lifted later, will all Moslems buy, read and do exactly what the book says?

Or would the readers of such book learn a thing or two new about sex?

By looking at statistics of the sex-crime rate in Malaysia, even a book written by God himself on sex would be construed lame. Malaysians by any standards are never "inferior" on sexual ideas, promiscuity or even on sex-crimes.

A hint : Why would anyone come up with such a book on sex if sex in not on their minds or are 'guggin' for it due to the stiffen rules of religion and beliefs?

Another hint : Elton John's impending concert is now viewed as a blasphemy to the Islamic religion by PAS youth. All because Sir Elton John who is married to a man and has adopted a baby is gay.

Gay marriages are now slowly being accepted in many parts of the world but not in Asia, at least not yet. Give it some time, it will catch up.

If you should know, we as humans, Homosapiens, or simply put modern Neanderthals are still evolving. We have never stopped. By the turn of this century gay / lesbian marriages will be a thing of the past.

Embrace the fact for who are we to argue and go against the grain of Nature, Time and God.

PAS Youth - please for the sake of humanity, love and culture, GROW UP.

Bangkok Floods ... the ones you don't see ...
