Many times in my life, whether I'm at work or at play, I have been ignored for reasons I truly can't comprehend. However, there is one thing I noticed. People tend to be racist when it comes to preferential treatment. I have gone thru' this countless times, have cringed and resented, sometimes loathed at the way one treats the other. Creed Colour Race Gender...irrespective of the order, it never changes.
Hear me out....
"I'm the fellow who goes into a restaurant, sits and waits patiently while the waiter or waitresses do everything but take my order. I'm the fellow who goes into a department store and stands while the salesgirls, tho' sensing my presence, finish their chit-chats and their forlorn gossips. I'm the guy who is always not welcomed into any branded high-life fashion shop because, "why come here when you can't afford it." Yes, you might say I'm the unlucky guy but do you know who else I am?
I'm the fellow who, year after year you spend billions of dollars advertising to buy your product, was there long before you dreamt of such adverts. It amuses me at times to see you spend all those money when I was there in the first place, trying to get your attention.
A little courtesy and chivalry or a sweet "hello" would have made my day and your account billions.
