Father...

(1932 - 2009 )

He lived 77 years, 7 months 23 days, 10 hours and 50 seconds. That's a long time for a man to live, some would say but my late father wished he had gone on living for another 1000 years.

Nevertheless, the shortfalls he had, the little myth in him wanting to live again his younger years fell short of expectation. On his dailt walk routine he collapsed and failed to resuscitate himself back to life.

The karma, we the siblings discovered was a good
omen the day he breathed himself into his after life.

As tradition, we cremated and had his ashes placed in a claypot urn and by the shores of Butterworth spewed them into the sea where the ashes of my late brother, grandmother and mother were last laid and washed away into the ocean.

As one who performed the final rites, I shall take a leave of absence until normalcy returns.
