Very Rich 'made' Man - A biography.

Syed Mokhtar Albukhary - A biography.

It took me less than 2 days to finish reading this book. Sorry, I was NOT impressed nor anywhere elated reading about a man, having not finished his form five education, dabbled with cattle and rice, but with his sheer hard work went on to acquire business acumen and ventured very far into becoming the most successful Arab descendant turned "Melayu" businessman in Malaysia.

Well! that's what the author says about this shy demure family-oriented man.

Who would fail and go pauper in Malaysia if not helped by the top echelons of UMNO power? - from a former Chief Minister of Johor to a former Premier.

Almost every business venture and opportunity was given to him on a silver and gold platter. And the government was always backing him to go beyond what every self-enterprising Malaysian businessman ever tried or did.

For a man who can't even draft a letter, we have (so the book says) an Arab / Malay entrepreneur who made it big and amassed millions.

Me having met the author herself some long time ago was rather intrigued - so the read.

So much so for a lame and superficial biography.

This isn't how you spell success.  It's spelt spoon-feeding to be successful.

SHEER LAME
